University of Mary String Studies: Orchestra & String Ensemble

String Ensemble provides a campus performance experience for string chamber music, from classical standards to contemporary premieres. String Ensemble is directed by Dr. Everaldo Martinez, concert master of the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra and conductor of the Youth Symphony. Register for MUS 218; audition not required.

Applied Music (private lessons) is available on violin, viola, cello, and double bass, as well as jazz bass and harp.

String players at the University of Mary also have the opportunity to play in community orchestras, including the Youth Symphony, the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, and the Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra. Auditions for each ensemble are in the fall.
