Full crowd participating in University of Mary's annual Prayer Day

Pause and Reflect

For four decades, the University of Mary has hosted Prayer Day as an opportunity to pause and reflect on the many gifts of God. Prayer Day gives special meaning to Mary's mission of being a faithfully Christian, joyfully Catholic, and gratefully Benedictine place of learning and community … for Life.

Prayer Day includes a presentation from a prominent speaker on a topic of faith and is organized by the Saint John Paul II Center for University Ministry.

2025 Keynote Speakers: FLORIANI

Floriani Group

Founded in 2021, Floriani is a men’s vocal ensemble dedicated to drawing souls to Christ through the transcendent beauty of sacred music. Comprised of Thomas Aquinas College alumni Giorgio Navarini, Thomas Quackenbush, Graham Crawley, and Joseph Daly, the group envisions “nothing short of a revival of Catholic sacred music in churches nationwide, which will accelerate the return to sacred liturgical tradition and greater reverence for Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. … A Catholic Church alive with the beauty of the liturgy will be a much more potent force for a nation that is collapsing for its rejection of what is true, good, and beautiful.”

Floriani sings Gregorian chant, polyphony, and traditional hymns, drawing from more than 2,000 years of musical tradition in the East and the West. In 2024, Floriani performed for more than 50,000 people at the National Eucharistic Congress and released Chants of Deliverance, a best-selling sacred music album. They tour nationally and internationally, offering live performances, liturgical music, educational programs, and professional recordings. Visit them online at floriani.org.
