Direct Admission
Fast-track your acceptance to our Nursing program and graduate in less time
Qualified first-year students can now gain admission directly into the University of Mary’s renowned nursing program and graduate in as little as three years!
Most first-year students take foundational courses in their first semester before admission to the nursing program, then complete their nursing degrees in four years. Our Direct Admission program enables up to 30 first-year students per year to enter nursing directly:
- Up to 15 students begin their nursing studies in their first semester on an accelerated 3-year track
- Another 15 begin their studies immediately on a 3.5-year track
Direct Admission students typically complete their non-nursing coursework in their first two semesters, then earn their nursing degrees more quickly by taking advantage of summer coursework. Staggered timeframes for completion (3 years versus 3.5 years) help to ensure sufficient access to clinical opportunities for all students.
Admission Criteria
Direct Admission is a merit-based program; acceptance and placement are determined through an interview process with qualified students.
- 3.5 Cumulative High School GPA
- 24 ACT Composite Score (ACT required for Direct Admission)
