Explore cybersecurity and compete for prizes in a cyber-sports game of Capture the Flag!

This spring, the University of Mary is hosting its first-ever CyberConnect CTF (Capture the Flag) competition — an exciting opportunity for high school students interested in computers, information technology, cyber-defense, or gaming to enjoy friendly competition and explore their futures. Plus, the top three teams win cash prizes: $2,000 for first place, $1,000 for second, and $500 for third.

2026 CyberConnect CTF Competition

When: Tuesday, April 14, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (sign-in begins at 8:30 AM)

Where: Chick’s Place, Lumen Vitae University Center

Who: Open to all high-schoolers (teams of four)

Cost: Free event; lunch is provided

Competition Schedule 

  • 8:15 – 9:00 AM | Team Check-In and Computer Set-Up
  • 9:00 – 9:15 AM | Welcome and Introduction to the Game
  • 9:15 – 11:00 AM | Game Play
  • 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Lunch (teams are allotted 30 minutes)
  • 1:00 – 2:00 PM | Game Play (scoreboard hidden at 2:00 PM to create suspense)
  • 2:00 – 2:15 PM | Final Score Calculation and Student Pack-Up
  • 2:15 – 2:30 PM | Awards Ceremony and Photos
  • 2:30 – 2:45 PM | Teams Depart
