Larry and Eileen Weigum College of Nursing
Nationally Ranked, Ethically Grounded Nursing Education
The University of Mary is home to one of the nation’s best nursing programs. In addition to our exceptional first-time pass rates on licensure exams, we are known for nurses who are competent and caring servant leaders who provide exceptional, patient-centered health care to the people across the region and beyond — without regard to race, religion, gender, or cultural or economic background.
The Larry and Eileen Weigum College of Nursing offers bachelor of science or bachelor of arts degrees in nursing, as well as LPN to BSN and RN to BSN programs and graduate degrees. Our undergraduate programs provide the foundational knowledge and practical experience you need to immediately deliver hands-on nursing care to patients across the lifespan. Our graduates are uniquely equipped to:
- Create healing environments through respectful, caring, and professional relationships
- Provide safe, quality, cost-effective care to patients, families, and populations
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and communities as part of professional health care teams
- Integrate informatics and communication systems to improve patient care outcomes
- Engage in lifelong learning and apply evidence-based knowledge to enhance nursing practice
- Integrate professional nursing standards, the code of ethics, principles of servant leadership, Benedictine values, and our liberal arts core into practice to advance the nursing profession
As a result, Mary nurses are recognized by patients and colleagues alike as competent, caring, and courageous — transforming health care one patient at a time.
