College of Health Professions
Professionally Focused, Ethically Grounded Health Care Degrees
The College of Health Professions in the Saint Gianna School of Health Sciences prepares competent, caring, and ethical health care professionals who will be servant leaders for their clients and patients. Classes are taught with a keen sensitivity to solid bioethical principles and natural law by faculty who share real-world experience with our students.
At Mary, our health care programs are internationally recognized for academic excellence, professional expertise, and compassionate care. Internship and practicum opportunities enable you to bring classroom and lab learning to faculty-supervised patient settings — including pro bono clinics, community collaborations, and international service trips — beginning in the early stages of your studies. As a result, our graduates:
- Are prepared for licensing examinations and ready to begin their careers immediately after graduation in high-demand health fields, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and more
- Practice the healing arts confidently and competently with people of all ages and walks of life in diverse patient care settings
- Gain interprofessional experience working with students and faculty from other fields, uniquely equipping them to collaborate and lead interdisciplinary care teams
- Demonstrate ethical servant leadership and Benedictine values, rooted in the dignity of the human person, in their care and interactions every day
Every program in our college encourages students to be competent, compassionate, ethically grounded, and morally courageous health care providers who will exercise vocations of healing and transform health care throughout their lives
