Visiting the University of Mary

See what it’s like to be part of the Mary community by visiting our beautiful campus — nestled in the hills overlooking the Missouri River — in Bismarck, North Dakota. For your convenience, view driving directions below!

Directions

  • Take Highway 83 south (which becomes State Street) to 7th Street and turn left.
  • Take 7th Street to Bismarck Expressway and turn left.
  • Take Bismarck Expressway to University Drive and turn right.
  • Stay on University Drive for about six miles. (You will pass Bismarck Airport on your left.) The University of Mary campus is on the right at the top of the hill.
  • Head north to I-94.
  • Once on I-94 head towards Bismarck and follow driving directions from the East and the West.
  • Take Interstate 94 to Exit 161.
  • Turn left at the light onto East Bismarck Expressway.
  • Turn left at the fourth light onto Airport Road.
  • Take Airport Road to University Drive and turn left.
  • Follow University Drive for about four miles. The University of Mary is on the right at the top of the hill.
  • Take Interstate 94 to Exit 156.
  • After crossing the Expressway Bridge, you will be on Bismarck Expressway.
  • Take Bismarck Expressway to the fourth light (University Drive), and turn right.
  • Stay on University Drive for about six miles. (You will pass Bismarck Airport on your left.) The University of Mary campus is on the right at the top of the hill.
  • Exit the airport and turn left onto University Drive.
  • Stay on University Drive for about four miles. The University of Mary campus is on the right at the top of the hill.

South Entrance

  • Take the second (south) entrance into campus.

  • Keep Left for Annunciation Monastery and the Benedictine Center for Servant Leadership.

  • Keep Right for access to the Lumen Vitae University Center, McDowell Activity Center, and Fieldhouse.

  • Visitor Parking is located in the lots east of the McDowell Activity Center and east of the Gary Tharaldson School of Business.

  • The Admissions Office is located on the lower level of the Benedictine Center.

North Entrance

  • Take the first (north) entrance into campus
  • Follow the curve to observe a gorgeous view of the Missouri River valley and enter parking lots C, D, and E for easy access to buildings like the Casey Center for Nursing Education, the Lumen Vitae University Center, and the Fieldhouse & Fitness Center.
