About Me

I have been a Nurse Practitioner since 1997 in primary and preventative care. In 1999 I was the first Nurse Practitioner in the state of North Dakota to open a private practice and I continue to practice there today. I have studied functional medicine and have added that work to my practice. I have a passion for learning and staying abreast of the latest and innovative ways to keep people well. I believe the body can heal when given the right tools and encompassing the health of the body, the mind, and the soul. My goals for the rest of my career years is to teach and mentor other students and Nurse Practitioners to the profession and developing a passion for this sacred work and the people they serve.

Why I’m At Mary

I chose to join the University of Mary due to the history I have here as a student and being the parent of two sons who were student athletes. The Benedictine values are a perfect fit with my personal and professional values. I received my master's and doctorate degrees at the University of Mary and the dedication to teaching and the professionalism of the instructors in the graduate nursing are a group I feel privileged be a part of.

Expertise

My expertise is in functional medicine and more in particular women's health and hormone balance across the Lifespan. I promote lifestyle changes that support patients to take control and achieve optimal health.
