About Me
I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. In 2018, I moved to Billings, Montana, to attend graduate school for occupational therapy through the University of Mary. Since graduating, I have been working at an outpatient pediatric clinic that uses play-based interventions to assist children with play skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, social skills, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills. In my spare time, I enjoy archery, paddle boarding, baking, and spending time with my husband, daughter, and corgi.
Why I’m At MaryThe values and mission of the University of Mary align with the profession of occupational therapy. The University's emphasis on service learning provided me with many opportunities to practice valuable skills prior to entering the profession. I am eager to give back to the University that prepared me for an amazing career in occupational therapy.
Expertise
My doctoral capstone project focused on program development and sensory education at the YMCA in Billings, Montana. I have taken several continuing education courses in areas related to pediatrics, including trauma, sensory processing, and neurodiversity. I primarily work with children with ADHD, autism, trauma, and anxiety. I also have experience in inpatient rehab with older adults.
