Luminosa

An Evening of Sacred Music

Each December, we welcome the warmth and radiance of the Advent season with Luminosa: Cappella by Candlelight. Featuring performances from Cappella and area Catholic high school choirs, this yearly sacred music gathering brings Christian educators, student musicians, Mary alumni, and special friends of the university to the Twin Cities for an unforgettable winter evening of festivity and fellowship.

2026 Luminosa: Saturday, December 12

We invite you to join us and Monsignor James Shea, president of the University of Mary, at our sixth annual Luminosa event. Alongside Cappella, choirs from Chesterton Academy of the Twin Cities, Chesterton Academy of the St. Croix Valley, DeLaSalle High School, Holy Family Catholic High School, Holy Spirit Academy, Saint Agnes School, Trinity School at River Ridge, and Visitation High School will share beautiful Advent and Christmas music. The Boom Island String Quartet will once again be joining us to accompany the choirs.
