About Me

I am an adjunct faculty of voice at the University of Mary, where I primarily work with graduate students. I teach vocal coaching and theory while mentoring singers in developing healthy technique and expressive performance. My work often focuses on the unique challenges of training tenor voices and preparing singers for professional performance. I collaborate closely with students through coaching, lessons, and performance preparation, helping them connect vocal technique with musical interpretation. I value the University of Mary’s strong sense of mission and community and its commitment to forming students as musicians and thoughtful individuals.

Why I’m At Mary

I am at the University of Mary because of its strong sense of mission and community. The university’s commitment to educating the whole person aligns closely with my approach to teaching music, where artistic growth and personal development go hand in hand. It is deeply rewarding to mentor students as they grow into confident musicians and thoughtful individuals.

Expertise

My expertise is in vocal performance, vocal pedagogy, and operatic repertoire, with a particular focus on tenor voice training. I specialize in helping singers develop efficient technique, navigate the passaggio, and connect vocal production with expressive musical interpretation. My work integrates performance experience, vocal science, and coaching strategies to prepare singers for professional performance and advanced study.
