Mykael Loera-Prado
About Me
I serve as the coordinator of athletic development at the University of Mary, where I help connect donors and alumni to the mission of supporting our scholar-athletes. My role focuses on building relationships that directly impact scholarships, facility enhancements, and the overall student-athlete experience. I enjoy collaborating with coaches, staff, and supporters to grow engagement through events and giving opportunities. What I love most about the University of Mary is the commitment to forming servant leaders and the shared passion for helping our scholar-athletes succeed in competition, in the classroom, and in their faith.
Why I’m At MaryI first came to the University of Mary as a student-athlete in 2020. Although I was only here for a year, God’s hand was always present in my journey back. Returning to Mary has been a full-circle blessing. The faith-filled community and mission to form servant leaders make this university a truly special place to call home.
Expertise
I bring experience from both the NAIA and Division I levels, specializing in athletic development, fundraising, and game operations. At the University of the Incarnate Word, I supported donor engagement and event coordination. As a former student-athlete, I am also an active member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD), where I continue to grow in collegiate fundraising and leadership.
