About Me

I grew up near the Twin Cities in Minnesota and came to the University of Mary to major in chemistry. I met my wife here, and we just had our first baby this past June. I teach freshman chemistry labs, work with our laboratory preparation assistants, and help develop laboratory spaces and experiments for future use. My wonder for the natural world inspires me to share that interest, and I continue to explore through reading journals and being out in nature.

Why I’m At Mary

At the University of Mary, I am able to share my love for God's creation to prepare students for a diverse variety of careers in medical, scientific, and technological fields. I encountered appreciation for chemistry and biology in close relationship with the University's liberal arts core, and I hope to be a part of that picture for more students.
