About Me

I was born and raised in western North Dakota and come from a family with 5 siblings. From a young age, sports captured my heart. With continued growth and development, I fulfilled my dream of playing college hockey at Minnesota State University Mankato. During my four years there, through the impact of FOCUS missionaries, I encountered Christ, and my Catholic upbringing matured. I went on to serve with FOCUS for five years, where I met my lovely wife, Lucy. We are blessed to call Bismarck home for our growing family of four. I enjoy being a husband and father, exploring the outdoors, competing in sports, and deepening my Catholic faith.

Why I’m At Mary

I am at Mary because of its commitment to instilling greatness in every individual. When I heard about the athletics department’s strategic plan, Greatness Through Virtue, I knew that it was something God was calling me to be a part of. As I continue to learn and grow, I am edified by the sincere commitment Mary has for developing leaders with moral courage.
