About Me

I am an assistant professor in the undergraduate nursing program in the St. Gianna School of Health Sciences. I grew up in Bismarck, ND and graduated in 1999 from the University of Mary with a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a family nurse practitioner. I worked 24 years in the hospital setting in nephrology and internal medicine. I am married to my husband, Scott, and have two children, Kate and Ben. I enjoy running, biking, and especially spending time with my family.

Why I’m At Mary

I graduated from the University of Mary and had amazing professors along the way. I truly believe in the importance of providing Benedictine values within education. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the University of Mary Staff.

Expertise

My nursing experience includes, orthopedics and ICU. As a nurse practitioner, I have experience in nephrology, transplant, internal medicine and dialysis. I have also precepted many students within in the hospital setting and guest lectured on occasion for both graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.
