About Me

I grew up in North Dakota and have been involved with Catholic education since the age of 5. I am currently a Catholic Montessori educator at Christ the King in Mandan and I work with children between the ages of 2.5 to 6. At the University of Mary I will be helping to coordinate the Catholic Montessori Institute. I am thrilled to help share the true Catholic vision of the Montessori method with our community and beyond. I am married to Evan Baker, and we have two children. I love to travel, bake, read, garden, and work on puzzles.

Why I’m At Mary

The University of Mary has always felt like a home to me. The Benedictine values are perfectly integrated into the Montessori method. The University of Mary is the perfect home for the Catholic Montessori Institute. I am simply humbled to be a part of this beautiful family and wonderful work.

Expertise

I have worked with young children for the past 13 years and have been trained in the Montessori method for 8 years. I have a passion for educating parents and the community about the Catholic roots of the Montessori method and the incredible benefits that this method has to offer for the development of the whole person.
