About Me

I serve as an assistant professor and clinical educator in the communication sciences and disorders/speech-language pathology programs. With over 20 years of clinical experience, I’ve learned invaluable lessons from the patients, students, and families I’ve had the privilege to work with—especially the importance of serving the whole person. I joined the University of Mary in 2022 and deeply enjoy working with students in both the classroom and clinical settings. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, and supporting my husband and three children in their many activities.

I’m honored to be part of the University of Mary community, where I have the opportunity to learn alongside the next generation of speech-language pathologists. It is a joy to share my passion and experience to help students thrive, advocate for others, and serve all individuals with excellence. The University's mission and values are what drew me here—and what continue to inspire me every day.

My areas of special interest include neurogenic cognitive-communication disorders, dysphagia, and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
