About Me

I grew up a farm kid in Devils Lake, ND. I am the fourth child of six, with three brothers and two sisters. I am married to my husband, Jim, and we have two boys, Will & Jack, and a Golden Retriever named Walter. We have made Bismarck our home for more than 20 years. My hobbies include trapshooting, baking, and family.

Why I’m At Mary

I am at Mary because I believe in the value of the education provided in the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine tradition.

Expertise

My work history has been in the medical-surgical area for seven years at the bedside. At Mary, I have taught a variety of courses and currently teach Medical-Surgical II and Intro to Nursing. I was invited by the National Counsel State Boards of Nursing to participate in an Item Writing Panel for the NCLEX-RN most recently in 2020. I have been certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing by American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) since 2008.
