Emerging Leaders Academy Scholarship Competition

An opportunity to earn more in scholarships as an incoming freshman! The competition includes a visit to campus, essay submission, and an interview with an Emerging Leader Academy director. 

The University of Mary is holding its Fall Scholarship Competition on select Mondays and Fridays during the month of November. This competition is an amazing opportunity for incoming freshmen who have also been accepted into the university's Emerging Leaders Academy to earn incredible scholarships! See below to register for the date you prefer!

Awards include:

  • An $8,000 annual Trustee Scholarship
  • $4,000 per year Founder's Scholarship
  • Two $2,000 Dean's Scholarships!

We would love for you to be a part of this competition! To compete, you must visit our main campus, write an essay and interview with an Emerging Leaders Academy director

Eligibility Requirements*

To be eligible, students need to be accepted to the University of Mary and accepted into our Emerging Leaders Academy.

We hope that you will join us for this competition! The University of Mary is proud to offer a number of scholarship programs to aid students with tuition cost. Ninety-nine percent of University of Mary students receive scholarships or some form of financial aid!

*Eligible students for the Fall Scholarship Competition must have a 3.25 GPA and a 21 ACT score to compete.

*Fall Scholarship Competition Awards can be combined with other awards, total scholarship award gifts will not exceed cost of tuition.

The University of Mary is holding its Spring Scholarship Competition in early February. This competition is an amazing opportunity for incoming freshmen who have also been accepted into the university's Emerging Leaders Academy to earn incredible scholarships!

We would love for you to be a part of this competition! To compete, you must submit a media piece (Video, PowerPoint, etc.) creatively showcasing a service leadership project that you've undertaken that made a meaningful difference in your community and participate in a phone interview with an Emerging Leaders Academy director.

To compete please follow the below steps:

  1. Meet eligibility requirements (explained below)
  2. Register for the competition here. The date and time of your phone interview will be sent following completion of your registration.
  3. Submit your media project to [email protected] no later than Friday, February 15, 2019.
