Each hall has a Residence Director (RD) living in the building. The RDs are professionally educated and trained to work in a residence hall to support college students. They are a great resource if you having any problems and they guide and supervise the Resident Assistants.
Resident Assistants are current students who are selected to be mentors and resources in the halls. They serve as "the first line of defense" in some ways. They will be the first to respond to concerns in the hall, serve as mentors to the residents, plan events and programs, and help students adjust to college life and classes Residence Director of Greg Butler Hall

Jillian Phelps is a born and raised Iowa native. In 2008 she earned a BA in sociology with a minor in psychology from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. At MNU, she served as a Resident Assistant and on the Resident Hall Government. She has a love for campus life and building community amongst students.
Prior to joining the University of Mary Residence Life Team, she and her husband Andy spent two and a half years teaching elementary and middle school English in Cheonan, South Korea for two and a half years. Living in South Korea provided them with wonderful opportunities to travel and learn about cultures all over Asia.
In her free time Jillian enjoys spending time with her husband, a good cup of coffee, traveling, being outdoors, and reading. She looks forward to this year in Greg Butler Hall and is excited for this new adventure on the Residence Life Team.
