Boniface Hall, located in the 1959 east wing of the Benedictine Center, serves as a traditional residence hall for women and is named for Benedictine Sister Boniface Timmons, who arrived in Bismarck in 1892 as administrator at St. Alexius and administrator when St. Alexius opened its own nursing school in 1915. The former Boniface Hall on the St. Alexius Medical Center campus, which was the residence for nursing school residents, housed the first Mary College students. As a connecting link to this heritage, "south campus residence hall" was designated Boniface Hall in 2000 when the University purchased Annunciation Priory, now named the Benedictine Center for Servant Leadership.
