University of Mary String Studies: Orchestra & String Ensemble

String Ensemble provides a campus performance experience for string chamber music, from classical standards to contemporary premieres. String Ensemble is directed by Dr. Everaldo Martinez, concert master of the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra and conductor of the Youth Symphony. Register for MUS 218; audition not required.

Applied Music (private lessons) is available on violin, viola, cello, and double bass, as well as jazz bass and harp.

String players at U-Mary also have the opportunity to play in community orchestras, including the Youth Symphony, the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, and the Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra. Auditions for each ensemble are in the fall.
