The University of Mary announces the development of a new degree, Master of Science in Bioethics, which will be offered in partnership with the National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC). Mary becomes one of a select few Catholic universities in the U.S. to offer a master's of science program in bioethics and the first in North Dakota.

Former Marauders defensive lineman John Oyloe received an invitation to attend the Minnesota Vikings rookie mini camp, which begins this Thursday and runs through Sunday in Eden Prairie, Minn.

Emergency Drills Planned at Mary (with photo)
The University of Mary will be the site for sirens, smoke and other simulated emergency drills next week. On Tuesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 8 various emergency responders from Bismarck and the surrounding area will converge on Mary's Bismarck campus. A total of about 35 fireman, uniformed officers, medical personnel and hazardous material specialists are expected to participate in the drills.

Lourdes, known for its exceptional beauty, is also where the Most Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous in 1858 - and the subsequent miraculous healings at the shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes.

"Inherit the Wind" production as relevant today as ever
Longtime University of Mary theatrical director Beverly Huschka will direct her final drama for the University of Mary when she brings the classic American drama, "Inherit the Wind," to the stage April 3-6. Earlier this year, Huschka directed her final musical, "Damn Yankees," for the University.

Time to Reflect and Remember With The Clothesline Project at Mary (with photo)
The public is encouraged to see The Clothesline Project, a service of the North Dakota Council on Abused Women's Services, during its April visit to the University of Mary campus. The Clothesline Project is a touring visual display of 230 T-shirts with handmade messages and graphic illustrations from victims that bear witness to violence against women and children in North Dakota.
