BISMARCK, ND - The annual Artists Celebrating Christ (ACC) is a unique inter-denominational event uniting Christian artisans from across the nation at the University of Mary. It's an opportunity to exhibit all forms of Christian art in a supportive atmosphere that inspires creativity and revives the use of the arts to enhance the worship experience.
This year's ACC eventis April 4 - 7, 2013, in the Benedictine Center for Servant Leadership building and the ajoining Gary Tharaldson School of Business building.
Highlights of the weekend include: a juried art show from artists across the nation; student art entries; a church banner and liturgical art display; an educational element inviting school students to attend art classes and tours of the exhibits; and a Live Quick Draw and Silent Auction. Saturday, April 6, Daniel Mitsui, a Chicago based artist, will be presenting on his work: "Mediaeval and Modern: The Religious Art of Daniel Mitsui."
ACC's previous events drew nearly 1,800 spectators from the Bismarck-Mandan area as well as visitors from across the state.
In the spirit of service and stewardship, proceeds above expenses will benefit ND Teen Challenge.
ACC is sponsored in part by Dakota West Arts Council, the University of Mary and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Morton County and Image Printing.
