BISMARCK--The University of Mary Collegiate DECA chapter announced the winners of its third annual DECAdent Desserts event, which was held Feb. 7, 2013, at the IDEA Center in Bismarck. The winner of this year's desert-tasting event was East 40, wiith Harvest Brazilian Grill taking second-place honors. The winner of the People's Choice award was Grandma's Kuchen.
Money raised from this event will help students attend the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Anaheim, CA, in April. According to Karel Sovak, advisor for the U-Mary DECA chapter, the event was another huge success. He announced that next year's event will be Feb. 6, 2014.
