Host sites use the event to build relationships in their communities and offer leadership training to their own teams. The University of Mary has hosted this event for the past several years.
"I have had the opportunity to attend all of the local Leadercast events held at the University of Mary," commented Dave Leingang, business planner with the North Dakota Department of Transportation. "It is the one annual professional and personal growth event I would not miss."
"The Leadercast event in Bismarck has given me the opportunity to hear from some of the best leaders in the world and take with me valuable skills to help me grow as a leader," says Derek Olson, customer service supervisor with Aetna in Bismarck.
"I thoroughly enjoyed Leadercast 2010 with John Maxwell and the rest of the team!" remarked Sheila Marquart, senior vice president of human resources at Starion Financial. "They all had such great wisdom to share. My greatest take-away from this high-impact day was the many ways I can and should challenge myself to become a better leader! My journey began as I walked out of the auditorium that day and I have consciously challenged myself to be more aware of my impact on those around me, more open to the world in which I live, and more willing to share my story. I thank Tony Dungy for my favorite quote of the day Praise is man-given. Be thankful. Talent is God-given. Be humble. Conceit is self-given. Be careful.'"
