"It is a win-win event for everyone," says Kevin Allan, director of Career Services at the University of Mary. "New and returning students, alum and people in the Bismarck-Mandan community have a chance to become acquainted with area businesses and their services even if they are not looking for a job. Many students will be seeking employment and can learn about employment opportunities. Employers, on the other hand, are able to market themselves to a lot of potential employees in a short period of time and possibly find some new employees in the process."
The Career Fair, in the Leach Field House on the campus of the University of Mary, Wed. Feb. 16, 2011, from noon to 4 p.m., is a great opportunity for the students, alum and the general public to build relationships and partner with the business community.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resume and dress appropriately (business casual or better).
