Habitats of North Dakota was published by the North Dakota Center for Distance Education in collaboration with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department to promote teaching and learning about wildlife conservation and resource management. Habitats of North Dakota consists of the following five books: Badlands, Prairie, Riparian Areas, Wetlands and Woodlands. This year's list of Notable Government Documents includes titles on history, government policy, mental and physical health, biology, global warming, and environmental protection, and other topics.
In addition to Habitats of North Dakota, Herman and Johnson have authored six other North Dakota Studies books, which are currently being utilized by students in schools throughout the state. All of the North Dakota Studies materials are available at www.ndstudies.org.
