Division Administrative Chair, School of Arts and Sciences
The University of Mary is pleased to invite applications and nominations for the position of Administrative Chair within the School of Arts and Sciences with a ranked appointment in English or Theatre. The administrative chair will work closely with the dean to provide the school with the needed administrative assistance for faculty, programs, and publications in the disciplines of language and literature, communication, art, and theatre. Administrative work includes facilitating budgeting, hiring, scheduling, and working with the dean to complete other duties as needed.
Preference will be given to candidates with five or more years of full time university teaching experience and three or more years of administrative experience (e.g. departmental chair).

Teaching needs dictate that the candidate be a qualified Ph.D. or D. Litt. in English who is a generalist and capable of teaching a variety of composition and literature courses or possesses a terminal degree in the fine arts with a successful record of directing theatre.
