Assistant /Associate Professor-Exercise Physiology-Full Time
The University of Mary, Bismarck, ND, is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time assistant or associate professor position in the Master of Science in Human Performance - Exercise Physiology concentration, School of Health Sciences, beginning in July, 2013. The MS in Human Performance - Exercise Physiology concentration is new at the University of Mary, developed in alignment with the American College of Sports Medicine’s (ACSM) knowledge, skills, and abilities to sit for the ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist certification.
The responsibilities of this faculty rank position include serving as Program Director of the Exercise Physiology concentration and teaching graduate level exercise physiology and cardiovascular physiology courses. Additional responsibilities include facilitating the graduate level thesis or project course, teaching advanced exercise physiology for undergraduate students in the Program in Exercise Science, and supervising student research. All faculty are expected to advise students within the program of study and be an active member of University community.
This position requires computer skills in addition to content expertise. Applicants must also have a PhD in Exercise Physiology. Candidates with ABD will be considered, provided the dissertation is completed prior to beginning employment. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine mission of the University of Mary. The University of Mary is an EEO/AA employer.
