Blaine A. Steiner, MS, ATC

 

Blaine has been the Athletic Training Education Program Director at the University of Mary since 2000.  In addition to his athletic training responsibilities, Blaine is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Human Performance Sciences.

After graduating from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Blaine spent a year in the clinical setting with the St. Alexius Human Performance Center. He then received his master's degree from South Dakota State University.

A National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification certified athletic trainer since 1992, Blaine has a variety of athletic training experience including work with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League and the Frappier Acceleration Programs in Bismarck and Minot, North Dakota.  An active NATA member at the state and national levels, Blaine is currently the Vice President of the North Dakota Athletic Trainers’ Association and a Board of Certification (BOC) qualified examiner. 

Along with his athletic training responsibilities, Blaine is also active in the Bismarck-Mandan community.  He has been a coach with the Bismarck Parks and Recreation District summer baseball program for over 14 years, starting in 1988.  During his years with Parks and Recreation, Blaine has been involved with Babe Ruth Baseball and has served as the Assistant Coach for the Bismarck Governors American Legion Baseball team since 2004.  The Governors were the 2005 North Dakota State Class A American Legion Baseball Tournament Runner-up.
