Physical Therapy-Full Time Faculty Position
The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Mary invites applications for a full time faculty appointment beginning fall semester 2010 (starting date negotiable). Salary and rank will be commensurate with clinical and academic experience. Responsibilities include teaching, research advising, scholarly productivity, university and professional service, and undergraduate and graduate student advising. The program offers an opportunity to work closely with students in the classroom, laboratory and in pro-bono physical therapy clinics. Also available is an opportunity to lead a student delegation in a service learning project to a 3rd World Country.
Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree, capacity for scholarly productivity, ability to mentor graduate students in research and scholarly pursuits, and clinical experience. Successful candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills, student-centered with enthusiasm for teaching and learning and team-orientated. Applicants must hold a physical therapy license or be eligible for licensure in North Dakota. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a certified specialization through ABPTS and who have clinical or teaching experience in Orthopedics and Manual Therapy, Geriatrics or Neurorehabilitation. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary.
