M State, U-Mary partner in degree program for working adults
Minnesota State Community and Technical College - Moorhead and University of Mary Fargo Location have partnered to create a program designed for working adults who would like to advance their careers by earning a two- or four-year degree.
"We recognize that people are juggling many obligations - family, work and community - but they also want to earn their degree," said Scott Ebsen, M Director of Student Services and Alternative Education. "This program will allow busy, working adults to balance their obligations and earn a degree."
Degrees offered through the program include the Associate in Arts transfer degree, Associate of Science business degree and Bachelor of Science degrees in organizational leadership, accounting, information technology and business (with concentrations in human resources, management and marketing).
"Students will be able to take classes at U-Mary and M State and be confident the credits will apply to their degree," said Lindsie Schoenack, director of Business Partnerships and Continuing Education. "The goal is to best serve the people of the Fargo-Moorhead area with a flexible program that will help them advance their careers by earning their degree."
All courses are offered in an accelerated format where classes meet once a week in the evening. Courses will be completed in five to seven weeks. Applications for classes starting in January are being accepted now.
