The first University of Mary athletic program to produce a student-athlete drafted by a major league organization, Marauders baseball alumni Andy Leer was selected by the Minnesota Twins in 2010. Featuring several Northern Sun all-academic selections annually, the Marauders take a spring break trip to Florida each year to kick off the regular season to prepare for conference play the highly-regarded NSIC.
