The University of Mary is excited to invite you and your family to be part of the 2011 Homecoming celebration Friday, Oct. 21-Sunday, Oct. 23. This wonderful weekend of football vs. the Bemidji State Beavers, volleyball, fun, and fellowship will provide alumni, parents and friends a unique chance to share in the Marauders spirit and catch up on all that's happening at U-Mary. As part of our Homecoming tradition, two outstanding alumni - Mike Mabin, '85, and Kari (Warberg) Block, '04, - will be honored with Alumni Recognition Awards; and Howard Hausauer, '94 and '97; Sarah (O'Donnell) MacDannald, '97; and the 1995-'96 and 1996-'97 U-Mary wrestling teams will be inducted into the Marauders Hall of Fame. We hope you will take a moment to RSVP and join us for this fantastic fall weekend!

U-Mary Women's Basketball Welcomes Young Cancer Patient As Honorary Team Member
The U-Mary women's basketball team's "adoption" of a local pediatric brain cancer patient into the Marauders family through the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation was celebrated at an ice cream social on Oct. 4. DECA To Hold Saturday Pancake Breakfast
The 7th Annual DECA Pancake Breakfast will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, from
8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Applebee's locations in Bismarck, Minot, Jamestown, Grand Forks and Fargo. Tickets are $5 for all you can eat! They are available through Collegiate DECA members or by contacting Karel Sovak at 355-8042 or [email protected].
Student Physical Therapy Association To Host Home Run Heroes
Games will be held in Leach Field House on Oct.17, and 24, from 6 p.m. to
7:30 p.m. Participants include children with moderate to severe physical disabilities from kindergarten through grade 12. For more information, contact the Physical Therapy Department at 355-8053.
Convocation To Feature Dr. Alveda King
On Thursday, Oct. 20, Dr. Alveda King, Martin Luther King Jr.'s niece, will share personal insights on the prolife movement as a continuation of the civil rights struggle at 11 a.m., in Arno Gustin Hall. All are welcome, and there is no charge for admission.
Nancy Jones Schafer Is Featured Speaker At First 2011 Christian Leadership Center Event
Former North Dakota first lady Nancy Jones Schafer will give a presentation entitled "Shaping Faith Through Leadership," on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at
7 p.m., in Butler Hall of the Gary Tharaldson School of Business. The event will be sponsored by the Christian Leadership Center. All are welcome, and there is no charge for admission. More>>
Alum! Be Part Of The 'Battle For The Paddle' U-Mary Vs. Minnesota State University-Moorhead Game - Saturday, Oct. 29! Take The Fan Bus And/Or Come To The Alumni Pre-Game Social
     The fan bus departs from Central Market (1190 W Turnpike Ave., Bismarck) on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 8 a.m. and returns by approximately 9 p.m. The cost is $35/person and includes transportation, a light breakfast, a ticket to the U-Mary vs. Minnesota State University-Moorhead "Battle for the Paddle" game (1 p.m. kick-off), and a $5 gift card to Moorhead's Buffalo Wild Wings for the pre-game social hosted by the U-Mary Athletic Department and the U-Mary Alumni Association (see below). 'No Exit' To Be U-Mary Fall Theater Production
University of Mary students, under the direction of Nita Ritzke, will present the existentialist French play "No Exit," by Jean-Paul Sartre, on Thursday, Nov. 3, through Saturday, Nov 5, at 7:30 p.m., and in a matinee on Sunday, Nov. 6, at
