U-Mary And BSC To Present 'Titanic the Musical,'
On April 15, 1912, the famed ship Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean, southeast of Newfoundland, Canada; 1,517 people died with only 711 surviving. This remains one of the quintessential disasters all time. In memory of the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, the University of Mary and Bismarck State College are collaborating to produce "Titanic the Musical" (story and book by Peter Stone; music and lyrics by Maury Yeston). The cast of 38, as well as the musical, technical, and production teams, draw on the talents of both U-Mary and BSC students and faculty. Performances are March 8-10 (7:30 p.m.) and March 11 (2 p.m.), at the Belle Mehus Auditorium. Tickets go on sale on Feb. 20 and are available on both the U-Mary and BSC campuses and at the U-Mary Butler Center, downtown. To reserve tickets, call: 223-4260 at U-Mary or 224-5511 at BSC. All tickets are general admission, $10 for the general public and $5 for students and staff of BSC and U-Mary.
