Student Accessibility Internal Grievance Procedure

The University of Mary has an internal grievance procedure providing for prompt and equitable resolution of complaints alleging violations of federal or state law or other aspects of its Non-Discrimination Statement. Students may use the grievance procedure outlined in the Fair Treatment Policy for Students to appeal the university’s decisions regarding requests for accommodations.

External Grievance Procedure

University of Mary students with disabilities, who feel the college may have violated their civil rights, may file a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights (OCR). The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) enforces federal civil rights laws that prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, and age in programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance from the Department of Education (ED).
