The mission of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences is to provide our undergraduate and graduate students with a strong philosophy-based academic foundation based on Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine values.
The Department of Education undergraduate programs are designed to develop competent and principled professionals who take responsibility for student learning and who demonstrate strong pedagogical content knowledge and professional characteristics. The Department of Behavioral Sciences undergraduate programs are designed to develop competent and principled professionals who demonstrate service and leadership and who become ethical and evidenced-based professionals and community leaders.
The School of Education and Behavioral Sciences graduate programs are committed to providing flexible programs of graduate study to teachers, school administrators, or other human service professionals who are pursuing advanced degrees in education or counseling. Programs are designed to help students enrich their professional knowledge and skills for the purpose of achieving higher levels of competence.
