Small Business Certificate
The Small Business certificate is designed for business owners and entrepreneurs. Students learn key responsibilities for business ownership and focus on the development of critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Small Business Management (3 credits)
Students explore the problems and responsibilities in organizing, financing, and operating a small business. Students also explore the advantages to attract customers and also how consumers develop strategies to acquire goods and services from retailers.
Principles of Accounting I (3 credits)
An introduction to accrual accounting and the basic financial statements, with emphasis on income statement forms.
Principles of Management (3 credits)
Management stresses a set of activities directed at an organization’s resources with
the aim of achieving goals in an efficient and effective manner. This course explores
the managerial activities of planning, decision-making, organizing, leading, and controlling.
