Father Valerian Odermann, OSB, serves as campus chaplain and he also holds an appointment as an associate professor in the Division of Philosophy and Theology. Father Valerian is a Benedictine monk of Assumption Abby located in Richardton, ND. He enjoys teaching theology and visiting with U-Mary students, faculty, and staff. Father Victor Feser, OSB, serves as an assistant chaplain and professor of mathematics with administrative responsibilities as director of our mathematics program. From January through May of 2008, Father Victor will assume responsibilities as University of Mary chaplain during Father Valerian's sabbatical leave. He is a Benedictine monk of Assumption Abbey in Richardton, ND. His interests include reading and the challenge of math and word puzzles, and he is passionate about environmental stewardship.
