Karen Aly Adult Learner Counselor Undergraduate Programs (701) 232-7088 kaly@umary.edu |
My name is Karen Aly and I am the academic advisor for the undergraduate programs. Congratulations on your intent to earn a degree and thank you for your interest in our program designed for working adults. We are delighted you are taking a good look to see if our program will meet your goals and personal schedule. I look forward to reviewing your credits and discussing your options. I am your primary contact for questions dealing with the application process or your academic progress.
When choosing a university it is important to look at all aspects of your investment. University of Mary is regionally accredited (the most valuable accreditation and recognized above national accreditation). Added fees can raise tuition significantly. University of Mary requires two fees: $25 application fee and $50 graduation fee.
The accelerated management completion degree program is designed to meet the needs of working adults. Most students work full time and are interested in completing their degree while continuing their careers. Students can begin classes at different times of the year, but they always attend class one night per week on a year-round basis. The program is designed to recognize your experience, match your career goals, and develop your managerial and leader skills.
The curriculum is integrated in nature; it is not a collection of independent courses. Each course is scheduled sequentially, and students meet from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. one night per week for the duration of the program. Classes are taught by professionals in seminar style, allowing for student participation and discussion. You learn from one another as you develop skills in communication, problem solving, decision-making, and leadership. Class size is limited to ensure interaction between students and faculty.
Feel free to contact me if you need additional information. I would be delighted to visit with you about the program and give you a tour of our facilities.
