Bismarck, ND - The University of Mary football team will begin its spring football practice on March 25. Over the next 23 days, the Marauders will hold 15 full-squad practices. The last day of spring football is April 16.
Of the 15 practices, the first two will be helmets-only before going full pads for the final 13 practice sessions. Ten football practices are scheduled for the Bismarck Community Bowl, which is the Marauders home field. Three practices are planned for the Golf Dome with two set for the U-Mary practice field on campus.
The University of Mary completed the 2007 season with an overall record of 7-4 in the Marauders first season as an active member of the NCAA. In its first season competing in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, U-Mary finished second in the league with a 7-2 record. Featuring the top defense in the conference, U-Mary tied league-champion Winona State for the most All-NSIC players with 10 apiece.
The Marauders look to increase its streak of 10 consecutive winning seasons when U-Mary hosts fifth-ranked Chadron State College on August 28 to kick off the 2008 season.
