The University of Mary asks you to join your friends and associates who support this North Dakota private university as members of one of its giving clubs.
The Presidents ClubPresident's Club members agree to contribute $250 or more a year for a period of at least five years. Your contribution is not only tax deductible on the state and federal forms, but it is also eligible for tax credit benefits under North Dakota law, for those who file the long form. As an expression of our gratitude to the President's Club members, they:
- receive an engraved wall plaque, recognizing their commitment;
- are guests at a President's Club banquet hosted by the university president;
- have access to university-sponsored events which includes a family athletic pass;
- and use of the Tom & Frances Leach Student Life Center facilities.
The McCarthy 100 AwardThe University of Mary invites its friends to accept the McCarthy 100 challenge by:
- contributing $1,000 or more for a period of at least five years; or
- contributing a one-time gift of $5,000 or more; or
- indicating by appropriate means the intention to provide a bequest or life income agreement in an amount equal to or larger than the above; or
- successfully soliciting ten President's Club members.
Heritage Society Gift ClubsThe Heritage Society establishes a permanent recognition for individuals with significant investments in the University of Mary. Members of the Heritage Society are permanently enshrined on the Recognition Wall located on the small chapel of the Benedictine Center. The Heritage Society Medallion denotes the cumulative level of investment. It is presented by the university president in a private ceremony. The Heritage Society, founded in 1988, commemorates the work of the founding Sisters of Annunciation Monastery.

The BRONZE MEDALLION is presented to investors of the University of Mary with a cumulative record of twenty-five thousand dollars of current gifts and future commitments or has caused gifting of that amount.

The SILVER MEDALLION is presented to investors of the University of Mary with a cumulative record of fifty thousand dollars of current and future commitments or has caused gifting in that amount.

The GOLD MEDALLION is presented to investors of the University of Mary with a cumulative record of one hundred thousand dollars of current and future commitments or has caused gifting in that amount.
Ways to provide a Major Gift
- As a gift of cash - immediately or over a period of years, as a bequest, or a combination of all three.
- In appreciated securities, or combined with cash or other resources.
- As a gift of real estate - farm, ranch, residence, second residence, commercial property, resort, vacation land, etc.
- As a gift of interests - oil, mineral or gas rights, copyrights, patents, royalties, etc.
- Gifts of precious jewels or other personal property.
- Gifts of stock - in an established firm, a new business corporation, or a family business.
- Gift of interest in personal foundations or trusts.
- Liquidation of an established foundation.
- As a new life insurance policy on another's life, payable either in one premium or over five years, with premiums tax-deductible when the organization is the holder and beneficiary of the policy.
- As a life insurance policy on the donor's own life - either paid up or currently being paid.
