Mike Skytland, a native of Bismarck graduated from the University of Mary in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in social and behavioral science and a double minor in secondary education and in coaching.
During Skytland's time as head tennis coach at the University of Mary, he has led the men's tennis team to a regional tournament victory and has advanced to the national tournament five times. Skytland has also led both the men's and women's teams to a 2nd place finish at the Region III Tennis Tournament.
Skytland also teaches social studies at Bismarck High School.
