Melanie Chaussee is a 6-foot-0 middle hitter who competed at Lawrence Free State High School in Lawrence, KS. She was named to the Lawrence Journal-World All-Area team, gained 1st team All-Sunflower League honors and also earned other honors. Chaussee averaged 1.36 kills per game and had 133 blocks. A member of the principal’s honor roll, Melanie is the daughter of Paul Chaussee and Gayle Anderson and will pursue a degree in behavioral science.

"Melanie brings both size and experience to our program," said Marauders head coach Heidi Sunderland. "She played for an established club in Kansas and also a very successful high school program. She is a versatile player that can play several different positions and will be an asset to our program. With family in Bismarck she is excited to play in North Dakota."
