Gerice Olson

Gerice Olson is in her third season as the University of Mary head softball coach.  She has a record of 55-46 in two seasons.  The Marauders were granted full NCAA active membership on September 1, 2007.

In her first season as head coach, the Marauders finished 27-24 in the university's transitional year from NAIA to NCAA Division II. In the 2007 season, the Marauders finished 28-22, garnering a fourth place finish in the NSIC conference.

Olson was previously the head softball coach and assistant volleyball coach at Dakota State University from 2004-2005 and the assistant softball coach/graduate assistant at South Dakota State University from 2002 to 2004. While at SDSU, Olson primarily worked with the catchers and hitters, which set a team record for 34 homeruns in 2003, a record that still stands.  She has a master's degree in health, physical education, and recreation from South Dakota State University and a bachelor's degree in physical education from North Dakota State University (NDSU).

While playing softball for NDSU, Olson helped the team earn an NCAA Division II National Championship in 2000. She was named to the NCAA National Championship All-Tournament Team in 2000 and was a four-time recipient of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar Athlete Award (1997-2000). Olson is a native of Buffalo, MN.

Travis Dressler is in his third season as the Marauder assistant coach.

Dressler was a standout for the Marauder baseball team from 2001 to 2005, earning DAC-10 All-Conference honors on four occasions. Dressler helped the Marauders to claim the DAC-10 Conference Tournament Championship in 2002. In 2005, he was named the DAC-10 Senior of the Year while becoming the Marauders' all-time hits leader. Following the 2005 season, Dressler signed a professional contract with the Sioux City Explorers of the Independent Northern League as a right-handed pitcher.

Dressler has two years of coaching experience with the Bismarck American Legion and Babe Ruth programs, serving as an assistant coach for both the Governors and Representatives. He also spent three years with the Mandan Legion Baseball program. He received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from U-Mary in 2005 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration from the same school. Dressler is a native of Bismarck, ND.



Matt Power

Matt Power is in his first year as the Marauder assistant coach.

Power was a member of the Marauder baseball team from 2003-2006.  He was also an assistant coach for one year.

Power has six years of coaching experience with the Bismarck Babe Ruth All-Star baseball program, leading his teams to the 2003 and 2005 Babe Ruth World Series.  Power received his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from U-Mary in 2006 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Business Administration from the same school.  Power is a native of Bismarck, ND.
