1. How much will it cost to attend the University of Mary?

2. How will I find out how much my bill will be?
Statements will be mailed prior to the assigned due date. You can also view your student charges online. Log on to http://my.umary.edu with your University of Mary user name and password. Click Finances and then click My Account Balances. If you do not receive a statement in the mail, you should contact the Student Accounts Office by telephone at (701) 355-8143 or by e-mail at staccts@umary.edu.
3. When will I have to pay my tuition and fees?
All charges assessed by the University of Mary (tuition, fees, room and board) are payable on the assigned date that will be listed on the University of Mary academic calendar each Fall and Spring term. Charges assessed for May term and summer session will be due during the first week of each term. All financial obligations must be settled on the scheduled date.
4. How do I apply for Federal Financial Assistance to help with my tuition and fees?
You can complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form online at http://fafsa.ed.gov or you can pick up an application form in the Financial Assistance Office.
5. Can I set up a payment plan?
The University of Mary allows students to set up a three-month payment plan to settle their account. The first payment is due on the assigned date that will be listed on the University of Mary academic calendar. The second and third payments are due the same day of the following months. All tuition and fees must be settled one month prior to the end of the term.
6. How do I pay my tuition and fees?
Payment can be made by cash, check, or money order, or by Mastercard, Visa, and Discover credit cards.
In Person
University of Mary Student Accounts Office, Benedictine Center lower level with cash, check, money order or credit card. (current identification is required).
By Mail
Mail payment to: University of Mary; Attn: Student Accounts, 7500 University Drive, Bismarck, ND 58504. Payments mailed must be postmarked no later than the due date.
Online
Credit card payments can be made on the secured University of Mary Web site. Log on to http://my.umary.edu with your University of Mary user name and password. Click Finances, then click My Account Balances, then click Make a Payment.
Phone
Call (701) 355-8143 and provide current credit card information. If you are sent to voice mail, please leave a clear message including your name and telephone number and we will return your call within 24 hours.
7. Can my parents or spouse pay my bill?
Please review the Family Education and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). If you would like your student account information disclosed to others, we will need the FERPA authorization form on file in the Office of Registrar. This includes disclosing information to your parents, spouse, and third party payers.
8. I will have excessive Financial assistance. When will I receive my refund?
Student refunds due to excessive financial assistance will be mailed within 14 days from the date the assistance was posted to your account. The Business Office prints student refunds on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Student refunds are mailed to local addresses. Please keep your address up to date with the Registrar's Office.
9. Will I receive a refund if I withdraw from my classes?
Refunds are calculated according to the official withdrawl date that is recorded in the Registrar's Office. Please review the current University of Mary Refund schedule. 10. I have a Financial HOLD on my account.
Students who have a financial hold on their account are not eligible to register for future classes, or obtain transcripts. Students must pay all balances in full prior to the "hold" being removed.
