Welcome to the Division of Human Performance Science (HPS) at the University of Mary, America’s Leadership University. Thanks for taking the time to visit our Web site!

The 16 faculty of the Division of Human Performance Science prepare our graduates to be competent health care providers who recognize and serve human performance needs within the contexts of life. Our division consists of four departments, which include Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. All departments within the HPS division have academic and clinical components to prepare graduates in the areas of rehabilitation science, sports and fitness health, and health care science with a holistic approach.

The four departments within HPS have all earned national endorsement or accreditation through their respective accrediting agencies. The University of Mary Exercise Science Program is endorsed by the American Academy of Sports Medicine; Athletic Training is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Athletic Training Education;  Occupational Therapy is accredited by Accreditation Council of Occupational Therapy Education; and Physical Therapy is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapist Education.

I encourage you to take a look at the varied offerings from this division by exploring our Web pages. Exercise science and athletic training degrees can be earned within a three-year course of study by the qualified student. U-Mary's Occupational Therapy Department's offerings include an accelerated master’s degree that can be completed in 41/2 years.

If you have questions concerning athletic training, please contact Blaine Steiner; exercise science, Jill Nustad; occupational therapy, Janeene Sibla; and physical therapy, Jodi Roller.
