I have been the athletic training education program director at the University of Mary since 2000. In addition to my athletic training responsibilities, I am an assistant professor in the Division of Human Performance Sciences.
After graduating from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor's degree in athletic training, I spent a year in the clinical setting with the St. Alexius Human Performance Center. I then received my master's degree from South Dakota State University.
A National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification certified athletic trainer since 1992, I have a variety of athletic training experience, including work with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League and the Frappier Acceleration Programs in Bismarck and Minot, ND. An active NATA member at the state and national levels, I am currently the vice president of the North Dakota Athletic Trainers’ Association and a Board of Certification (BOC) qualified examiner.
Along with my athletic training responsibilities, I am also active in the Bismarck-Mandan community. I have been a coach with the Bismarck Parks and Recreation District Summer Baseball Program for over 15 years, starting in 1988. During my years with Parks and Recreation, I have been involved with Babe Ruth Baseball and has served as the assistant coach for the Bismarck Governors American Legion Baseball team since 2004. The Governors were the 2006 North Dakota State Class 'A' American Legion Baseball Western Divisional Tournament Champion.
