On Servant Leadership . . .

"Broadbeck et al. (2000) conducted a study of leaders from 22 European countries. The leaders were asked to indicate the degree to which various traits and behaviors fit into the concept of being an outstanding business leader in their country. The results revealed that preferences for certain leader traits and behaviors were culturally specific. Countries that shared similar cultural values also shared similar leadership concepts. In short, the findings revealed there is not a singular universal conception of leadership."  --  Muchinsky (2003)
